Downrods are available in 900mm or 1800mm. If you have ceilings heights that are over 9 ft, a downrod is a must. Downrods are attached to the ceiling fan to lower to a more effective height. If a download is not used, the ceiling fan will not perform to its maximum potential. Downrod size can be adjusted by the installing electrician
