Shelta was established in Sydney in 1911 and since then, the outdoor furniture business has prospered! The Shelta team even remembers the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and for good reason — a terrible drought that left them with stacks of Shelta outdoor umbrellas and when rain was forecast for the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, their stock sold out within two weeks.
In the 1930s, Shelta expanded to beach and garden umbrellas and expanded to Brisbane. Now, Shelta is one of the leading outdoor furniture brands in Australia, offering umbrellas, outdoor dining settings and dining chairs, and so much more!
